Care Information

The Crepe Myrtle Bonsai will grow in filtered or shaded sunlight to full sun. The more sun the plant receives the denser the foliage will become and encourage flowering.Water moderately, keeping the tree moist at all times. The Crepe Myrtle Bonsai requires moderate watering to maintain a moist soil and enjoys humidity. The Crepe Myrtle Bonsai may be repotted throughout most of the year, although, the best times for repotting are in the spring. After repotting, water thoroughly and keep the plant in a shady location for several weeks so that new roots may grow.Crepe Myrtle Bonsai Trees prefer warmer climates. Due to their deciduous nature, they may lose their leaves during the winter. Leaves and bud growth will appear in the spring after dormancy. For very cold climates, Crepe Myrtle Bonsai trees can be brought indoors or overwintered. Fertilize your bonsai once monthly. We recommend using a bonsai fertilizer. When pruning, prune back at the end of summer to encourage budding for the next growing season.
