The Tsuga Canadensis or Canadian Hemlock is an evergreen conifer that sprouts tight leaves and cones. The hemlock grows a unique textured bark. Foliage is flexible making it easy to wire and bend. Pads can be developed by growing out a branch and pruning it to keep its shape. A great tree for beginners.

Care Information

It is recommended to water the tree daily and monitor the wetness of the soil. Always ensure good drainage on your hemlock bonsai. The Hemlock needs partial to full sun. Hemlocks are resilient to varying degrees of temperature from warm and dry to the cold and snow.Hemlocks can be easily pruned back. Their dense needle growth can be thinned to desired shape.Repotting the bonsai prior to springtime prior to the needles opening will ensure best results.
