Tillandsia Xerographica Air Plant

Tillandsias, or commonly referred to as air plants, are extremely easy to care for. Their most outstanding feature is that they do not require roots to grow. All the nutrients and moisture are absorbed through the foliage. This characteristic is the reason why they are able to handle most environments. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor settings, Tillandsias are often used in terrariums or rock and branch plantings. Watering can be done on a daily basis with misting and showering or they can be submerged in filtered or bottled water on a weekly basis.

Considered the king of Tillandasias, the Xerographica is one of the fullest and widest of the air plants. Bright, powdery green leaves and large size make it a striking accent for hanging baskets, driftwood displays, and terrariums. Air plant measures approximately 6" - 8" in width and 4" - 5" in height.

Tillandsias do not require a root system; they absorb all their nutrients through their leaves. They are tolerant of most environments, but do best with medium humidity and fresh air.
We recommend watering your Tillandsias with bottled or filtered water on a daily basis simply by misting it briefly.
The leaves of the Tillandsia plant will change to a green color to indicate proper hydration. If watering on a weekly basis, submerge the Tillandsia in water for up to an hour, then remove. Hang upside down or shake excess water from leaves, then place back into arrangement.
