Espoma Garden Gypsum is an all natural mineral that can help loosen clay soils, minimize salt damage to plants, and help promote root growth. Pelletized for easy application. Loosens heavy clay soils.

Bonsai application: We recommend using garden gypsum to increase the acidic levels of your soil. This is helpful for a variety of tree species most notably Japanese maples and Azaleas. Gypsum can be used to decrease leaf burn during hotter months and where water levels are more alkaline. Espoma Garden Gypsum is recommended to be applied twice a year for salt water damage; apply second application 30 days after the first application.
